Generally, I don't like sticking the objects of my scenes because everybody enjoys touching things and if we fix all these things, the game is over.
The scene of this post is a perfect example of what I am saying. But let's break this down.
Today you will see that there is no new tutorials, you will see a compendium of how to use things we have already learned.

In the forum Tus Miniaturas, someoene needs to know how I build the trihedral.
It is made with MDF, usually with 7 mm thick. If you use the 5 mm, it will be more difficult to assemble, but otherwise it will be lighter.
To assemble it, I use skewer sticks. In this post you can see this explanation and how to make a brick wall with foam board, which is how I made the walls of this scene too.

In the next picture we can see how the storefront is glued on the brick surface.
The moldings and all the wood are tinged with oak color first, and then with ebony. In this manner the wood is not entirely black and acquires a very nice warm tone.

In the previous post I made my own moldings. In this, I used a thin molding frame and some moldings from a miniature store buyed on the Internet..
I'm a little annoyed with my supplier, because despite the fact that the miniature moldings are expensive, the wood has poor quality, is very dry and cracks when I cut it and the strips are slightly curved. Can you tell me if this is usual? If so, I will not buy this type of material without seeing it before.

The metal shutter is made of corrugated cardboard. I've painted it with silver first and then added some oxide effects

And this would be my new scene (... at an early hour)

But as I said at the beginning of this post, this scene is a toy, It can be transformed according to your mood. So a bit later ...

I do not know what you think about it, but in my understanding, flea markets seem marvelous, nostalgic, strange, exciting, curious, amazing ...
Is it about old things, I tend to imagine the people who have owned these thigs before and have already disappeared. The certainty that we are passing, but the fact that perhaps some of us is trapped in these objects gives them a magical value.
Aniway, I love flea markets ;-)

I hope you liked this scene so special.
Thank you all for your attention, for lots of good vibrations that you send me and ultimately, for your friendship.

I made a small outdoor scene and I hope you like it.
I wanted to try to make fimo sweets and this scene was the perfect excuse to make an attempt.

It is a trihedral corner wich dimensions are 22 cm high, 15 cm wide and 12 cm deep and is designed as a bookend.

The floor is made with black air drying clay. I engraved little square pavin stones with a mold. After it was dry and glued, I applied beige paint a bit diluted and I cleaned it quickly with a cloth, so that the paint stay between the grooves.

The walls are covered with balsa wood, and all the moldings are also made with this wood. In the next picture you have a detail of how to make a simple moulding sticking three different wood strip widths..

The ornamentation of wood panels is made with relief paint. As you can see, this is an inexpensive, simple and attractive way to decorate.

He pintado todo de rojo y he lijado suavemente. Le he dado cera incolora a la madera y he sacado brillo. Con sombras de ojos he aplicado pátinas oscuras en la zona inferior y he resaltado los relieves con sombras doradas. Finalmente he repasado los adornos con pintura dorada.

I painted all the panels red and I sanded lightly, them I applied clear wax to wood and I polished all the surface.I made different patinas with eyeshadows.

In the corner I built a shelf that will serve as shop window. It has a small slate roof, which tutorial is in this post. I made a lamp with a carousel-shaped charms for each shelf.

I also made two chairs and a table soldering galvanized wire. The table board is a wood charm.

To get the bronze appearance I painted first with black and after that with green and white with a very dry brush. You can see in this post how to get some metallic effects with acrylic paints.

And finally, I made all the sweets by following tutorials with patience and intuition. The boxes come from my own printables and the wonderful printables of Eloisa.

Y este es el resultado final.

And this is the result.

I hope you like my work and  you find this post useful.
Thank you and happy holidays!

Moldes y resinas- Molds and resins

Regarding molds, modeling pastes, resins, etc there are so much to learn so I hope today's post will help. I'm not an expert, in fact what I show you today is the little I have learned, however because it is useful, I would like to share with you.

Sometimes we have items for whatever reason we like to reproduce. There are many ways to do it
One of the easiest and cheapest is to use a hot silicon gun on our object and wait until it dries before remove the copy from the mould. Do it carefully because you can burn yourself.
To make the copy you can use any type of air drying clay or resin, because this mold can not be baked.

Two-component silicone is another option.
First I bought in a miniature store two little jars, one component blue, and the other white. This option is expensive because it is a small amount and this two-components silicone hardens really fast, so we can waste a lot of product until we learn to make molds. Personally a I don't recommend it because the price and because it is useful only to make very small and simple molds.

In this picture you can see two molds made from the same piece. The first one is wrong, because the silicone hardened very quickly.

Buying big containers of the Two-component silicone in a shop specializing in molds, resins, paints, etc must be cheaper. What I usually buy hardens slowly and allows us to make bigger or more complicated molds
It is always necessary to evaluate if it is profitable to make the mold or not, depending on the price of the original piece or its availability.

There are many methods to obtain the copy. We can use polymer clay which must be baked inside the mold, air clay, resin, etc.
I like a product called cristal resin wich hardens also after mix its two components. This resin is creamy, so it can cover intrincate carved nooks. You just have to be careful to puncture the bubble with a pin to avoid unsightly gaps.

I use two different resins. In the background one that must be mixed in a proportion of one part of hardener with two parts of resin. The drawback is that it is necessary to control perfectly the proportion in order to not obtain weak and translucent pieces. This resin is cheaper than the next, and as for color, it is slightly amber- coloured.

The resin in the foreground is easier to use because the proportion is one part of resin with one part of hardener. The color is completely transparent and its hardeness is always optimal. The only downside is that it ends up being expensive.

I show here how do I make bowls with quail egg boxes and cristal resin. They stay hard and tough. Never mind having any air bubbles inside because it gives them a handmade look.

With the cristal resin, our copies look like cut glass. If you whant the copy in a solid color, you can paint it after doing it or you can colorize the resin previously with specific products.
Furthermore replicas are perfect, and they do not need oven, only hours air drying.

If you remember in the previouspost, I used it to lacquer the board of a table.
I also use this resin to make jewelry.

I hope this post will help a little.
Hugs and thanks for being there.
